Wisdom Teeth Removal
Our practice provides wisdom teeth extraction services, which target the preservation of healthy tooth structures and the alignment of patients’ smiles.
Wisdom teeth are the final set of molars seen in your mouth, which appear around your late teens or early twenties. Wisdom teeth can grow misaligned, damaging adjacent teeth or disrupting natural alignment of your pre-existing teeth.
Misaligned wisdom teeth can grow out in different directions either horizontally, angled, inward, or outward. Misalignment can also cause crowding, damage to the jawbone and nerves.
Occasionally wisdom teeth can grow out partially, making it easy for bacteria to live around the tooth and gums causing tooth decay, resulting in swelling pain, jaw stiffness, and more.
1- Do I need to pull out my wisdom teeth?
Not necessarily. Sometimes it is advised due to the possibility of further damage caused by crowding, gum infection, cysts, tumours, or if they are impacted, however, not everyone meet these criteria.
2- I had pulled my tooth out and I have extreme sharp radiating pain on that side, what do I do?
This may be due what is often called Dry Socket, which requires a visit to your dentist for treatment. Post-extraction, numerous things can hinder clotting and healing, including smoking, which may cause Dry Socket.
